About the Training of Trainers (ToT) Program
The Training of Trainers (ToT) Program is designed to help individuals develop the knowledge, skills and competencies required to deliver effective training.
The program introduces trainers to the changing training ecosystem and helps them understand Qualification Packs (QP), National Occupational Standards (NOS), adult learning principles and trainer responsibilities.
For trainers working in the skill development ecosystem, understanding these standards and being able to address learner needs is an important part of effective training delivery.

Who Can Enrol in the ToT Program?
New Trainers
The ToT model for a new trainer is intended for individuals who meet the applicable educational qualification and industry-experience criteria established by the relevant Sector Skill Council.
Existing Trainers
The ToT model for an existing trainer is intended for trainers who already have prior training experience. MESC specifies a minimum of 500 hours of training experience for this model.

Module 01
Introduction to Qualification Packs (QP) & NOS
Understand Qualification Packs and National Occupational Standards associated with job roles.
Module 02
Adult Learning Theories & Principles
Learn the fundamentals of adult learning and how they influence effective training.
Module 03
Responsibilities of a Trainer
Understand the responsibilities and professional role of a skill trainer.
Module 04
Relevant NOS for the Job Role
Develop an understanding of the relevant National Occupational Standards associated with the selected job role.
3-WEEKS PROGRAM STRUCTURE
1. Pre ToT
Preparation & Foundation
The pre-ToT phase prepares participants for the main Training of Trainers program. It can introduce the relevant domain, job role, learning expectations and foundational concepts required before entering the ToT phase.
2. ToT
Core Trainer Training & Assessment
The central ToT phase focuses on developing trainer competencies, including training delivery, platform skills, domain-related competencies, learner engagement, assessment and other applicable trainer requirements.
3. Post ToT
Practice, Support & Trainer Development
The post-ToT phase provides continued support and development after the core ToT program, helping participants apply their learning, strengthen trainer competencies and prepare for effective training delivery.
Become a Certified Trainer
To become a Certified Trainer, candidates must successfully clear both the applicable domain and platform assessments. MESC states that a minimum score of 80% in both assessments is required for certification.

Raise a training request according to the applicable SSC Training Calendar.

Eligibility Verification
The training request is approved based on the applicable eligibility criteria.
